The average per screen gross was $23,625 making it one of the highest per screen performers in 2010. In comparison, the number 1 film of the week A Nightmare on Elm Street had a per screen average of $9,875. This is Holfcener’s best per screen average. According to IndieWIRE her last film, Friends with Money opened on 28 screens to an average of 21,047. That film went on to make over $13 million on a budget of $6.5 million. The budget for Please Give was $3 million. The film expands further this weekend into Chicago, SF area and Boston and will expand further in the coming weeks
